Chris Needham - Chairman & Executive Committee
AECOM

Chris has recently joined AECOM as their lead Project Information Manager, responsible for how information is managed across multiple business lines within the business. Prior to that, he was the owner of C3 Consulting Solutions, implementing BIM processes and practices within AEC companies since 2005. He has assisted firms in organizational change efforts, systems analysis and design, training programmes and project delivery. Chris’s strengths are in converting technical experience to tactical approaches, and communication.

He has worked on projects in both Australia and the United Kingdom, using his expertise to develop systems and processes for numerous organisations. Over the last seven years, he has helped firms understand and implement BIM methodologies, and is passionate about exploiting information management technology to its limits. He acknowledges that despite developments in technology, altering people's behaviour is the most crucial and often difficult part of change.

He has taught hundreds of industry professionals across Australia, and students at both RMIT and Melbourne University. He is a co-author of ANZRS (Australian & New Zealand Revit Standards), steering committee member of BIM-MEPAUS, BIM Management Plans working group chair for the AIA/Consult Australia BIM/IPD initiative and a past chairperson of REVIC (Revit Users Group of Victoria).






Wesley Benn - Executive Committee
RTC Events Management / ADDglobal / University of New South Wales

Wesley is the founder of RTC Events Management and the Revit Technology Conference series. As a long-term user and advocate of BIM, Wesley has been speaking and teaching in the field since starting to play with a pre-release version of Revit. 

ADDglobal (www.addglobal.com.au) is an outsourcing and BIM consulting team operating Australia-wide and internationally. Projects have ranged from documentation services across multiple project types and disciplines; to architectural design management for designers, developers, contractors, and owner-operators; to BIM and technology management of major projects (up to $14 billion) around the world. Together, the team offers a breadth and depth that touches on all aspects of the BIM ecosystem and offers clients high level expertise and a truly encompassing service. 

Wesley has worked directly with Autodesk on Revit development and implementation, built content for manufacturers and end-users, and has implemented multiple BIM tools into well over 300 practices throughout South-East Asia. He is a regular speaker at events throughout Australia and overseas talking about technology, Integrated Practice, and facilities management; he founded (and chaired for 5 years) the Revit User Group, Sydney; and teaches about BIM and architectural technologies at the University of New South Wales, in Sydney, Australia.






Jim Balding – Executive Committee
The ANT Group

Jim Balding is a licensed architect with more than 25 years of experience integrating technology into the architectural field. Jim earned his Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has been a member of the Autodesk® Revit® Architecture Client Advisory Board since its inaugural meeting, and served as the Revit Product Chair for AUGI® for five years. He also founded and served as the South Coast Revit Users Group (SCRUG) president for five years. Jim has spoken at several technology conferences and is one of the top-rated speakers at Autodesk University. He has developed a successful Autodesk Revit Architecture implementation strategy that has been adopted by some of the top architectural firms in the world.

Jim has recently launched his own architectural and design technology firm – The ANT Group.






Clay Hickling - Speaker Manager
GHD

Clay Hickling has been working with GHD for over a decade as an architectural and civil designer/documenter. GHD, being a multidiscipline Architecture and Engineering firm adopted Revit quite sometime ago. Clay is part of an internal development team coordinating the implementation of all the Revit flavours thru the various parts of the GHD business, his focus being Architecture. This entails training, development and technical support. Recently Clay was involved in the startup of a BIM user group called BrisBIM.

With the motto of working smarter and not harder Clay enjoys sharing knowledge with others and enjoys the meeting people in the RTC community. Outside of this environment Clay spends as much time as he can on the golf course and riding the bike.






Michelle Leonard - Program Manager
Assemble

Michelle Leonard is BIM Manager and Technician at Assemble, an Auckland based boutique out-source documentation service with a passion for problem solving and BIM.

Michelle formed a special affinity with Revit on her first day at Jasmax in 2005 and from there the bond has blossomed, leading to a BIM Specialist role at Jasmax from 2009 to November 2012, researching and developing systems and protocols to establish a collaborative BIM environment.

Known for her enthusiasm and passion about Revit and BIM, Michelle has taught hundreds of staff, conference delegates and students. She is excited by the prospect that BIM can change the construction sector in New Zealand, producing improved designs and a greater efficiency when delivering buildings.

Michelle was the secretary of the Revit User Group of Auckland between 2008-2010 and continues to be an active committee member.

When Michelle isn’t glued to a Revit Model (or Excel her other software addiction), she is looking after her son Boston and helping her husband with his residential construction business.
